Valentine’s Day is another one of the holidays that we like to share the love with those close to us, which of course means our children’s teachers. We like to do a little something to show them that we care about them and appreciate all of the hard work and patience they have for our children. What can you do for a few dollars that is a simply sweet little something the teacher will love for Valentine’s Day? It’s great that you are visiting The Dressing Room… because we have a few easy, thoughtful and inexpensive ideas for you…
A gift card is a teacher favorite, but feels just not so personal. So, we have ideas for great places to treat the teacher and ways to sweeten the package to show your personal touch. Each of these gifts begins with a clear 9 ounce SOLO cup placed in a Dessert Skirtz cupcake wrapper and secured with a piece of double stick tape or glue dot.

Coffee shop teacher gift displayed in cupcake wrappers:
Fill the cup with some whole coffee beans
Place an individually, wrapped biscotti in the cup
Tuck the gift card in the beans, too
Embellish with a coordinating tag

Bookstore gift displayed in cupcake wrappers:
Fill the cup with paper shred that coordinates with the Dessert Skirtz cupcake wrappers you chose
Have your child make a bookmark or purchase one
Place a gift card to the bookstore in the cup
Add a tag and tie with coordinating ribbons

Tea gift presented in cupcake wrappers
Time for tea:
Place several fancy tea bags (or tea flowers!) inside the cup
Nestle some honey sticks in with the tea bags
Place a few wrapped shortbread cookies in as well
Drop the whole filled cup, decorated with the cupcake wrapper, inside a clear cellophane treat bag, and tie with coordinating ribbons

Plant gift in cupcake wrappers
Roses are red, violets are blue:
Find some of these sweet miniature rose plants and violets at the nursery or even the supermarket this time of year
If necessary, re-pot into small terra cotta pots available at your local do it yourself store and drop into the SOLO cup. It looks so much prettier with the cupcake wrapper Skirtz.
Ask for a plant pick at the nursery or florist department, and push it into the soil of one of the plants. Add a sweet tag from your child.
Hope you found an idea here in The Dressing Room that will make Valentine’s Day simply sweet for all those people, especially teachers, that you want to give a little something!
