Your Elegantly Rustic Memorial Day Celebration Plan

Memorial Day, the unofficial start to summer, is just a week away. Where does the time go? This important holiday is an opportunity to honor those brave men and women that have made it possible for us to live with the freedoms and comforts that we do. We will have a week of photos and ideas to help you create new traditions with friends and family for Memorial Day.

To get this look, begin with a white table cloth and top it with a piece of checkered fabric in red and white. Gather your rustic looking buckets, bins and baskets to hold some of the food. Just be sure to use a food-safe bowl inside any metal containers that are not intended for use with food. We used a combination of weathered metal containers and crisp white plates and platters to achieve an elegantly rustic look. Giant white blooms add another piece of elegance to an otherwise casual affair.
