Hope this Father’s Day was a happy one for you and your family! With Memorial Day, Fourth of July, block parties and reunions, summer brings us several planned occasions to celebrate with friends and family. If your home is like ours, it also invites lots of unplanned gatherings.

 

The kids playing outside with friends until the brink of dinnertime and beyond… “just stay for dinner, won’t you?” Or, the family is working in the yard all day and playing outside when a friendly chat with the neighbors becomes a drink or two and moves to the backyard. Good times. We have a few suggestions for handling these impromptu gatherings with ease and grace. You’ll be out there trying to stir up a get together when you see how easy it is!
